Hi, I’m Maddy. I’m an IPHM qualified sound therapy practitioner based in East London. Resonating body is my sound therapy platform which has been born from many years exploring the deep, transformative power of sound.

Music, art and sound are the threads that have run throughout my life; from playing in punk bands in my youth, to playing violin in orchestras and more recently indulging my love of electronic music as a DJ. Over the last few years I have been drawn to a deeper understanding of the use of sound on wellbeing, which has led me to undertake in-depth training as a sound therapist with some of the UK’s leading sound, vocal and gong practitioners.

I use a variety of instruments in my practice including paiste and chinese gongs, himalayan and crystal bowls, percussion, voice, drone instruments and electronic sounds including field recordings. I draw on a wide variety of modalities including deep listening practice, somatics and gentle breathwork.

Nature is my biggest inspiration, and alongside sound I’m also a trained landscape architect. Both practices enrich each other, and I view sound, space and ecology as one experimental continuum that affects our inner and outer worlds.
